Our GRP stair tread covers offer a robust, long-term solution for improving safety on stairs that have become slippery, worn or hazardous. Manufactured from high-quality GRP with a covered, gritted top surface, these tread covers provide excellent slip resistance and are suitable for use in both internal and external environments.

Designed to fit over virtually any existing substrate, GRP stair tread covers are ideal for refurbishment projects where minimal disruption is required. They perform particularly well in wet or adverse weather conditions, making them a reliable safety upgrade for public, commercial and industrial buildings.

Integrated Nosing & Compliance

All stair tread covers incorporate a 55mm x 55mm nosing as part of the profile, helping them meet current Building Regulations. In addition, the range includes three styles with contrasting nosing to support DDA / Equality Act requirements, improving step edge visibility and accessibility.

A stone-effect version is also available. While this does not include a contrasting nosing, it is ideally suited to heritage and sensitive buildings such as stately homes, museums and historic properties where appearance is a key consideration.

• Black with yellow nosing

• Black with white nosing

• Grey with yellow nosing

• All stone (no contrasting nosing)

Grit Finish Options

• Fine grit – recommended for internal stairs and sensitive environments such as schools

• Coarse grit – ideal for external stairs and areas exposed to moisture or heavy foot traffic

Installation

GRP stair tread covers are quick and easy to install, requiring a simple glue and screw fixing directly onto the existing substrate. Once fitted, stairs can be used immediately, minimising downtime.
