High Quality GRP Grating Products

Everything you need to install GRP grating safely and securely: 316 stainless steel M clips that fix panels down to their supports, C clips that join panels where they meet, M clips for mini mesh panels, and GRP grating ramps for exposed edges. Our clips are matched to our open mesh and mini mesh panels, so your floor or platform stays fixed down under load.

Choosing the right fixings keeps walkways safe, especially in rail, water treatment and public access settings. Orders by 12pm are normally dispatched the same working day, and our team can advise on the correct clip and spacing for your panel type.

GRP grating fixings and accessories: buying guide

Grating that is not fixed down can shift, rattle or lift, so every GRP floor needs the right clips. Our fixings are matched to the panels we sell, so you know they will fit.

How many clips do I need?

As a guide, one pack of eight M clips suits a panel of about 3m x 1m, and one pack of eight mini mesh clips suits a panel of about 4m x 1m. Fix each panel down to every support it crosses, and use C clips along the joints between panels so neighbouring panels cannot move independently. Our guide to fixing GRP grating with M clips and C clips shows how they go on, step by step.

Ramps and exposed edges

Where a grating walkway meets the floor, a GRP grating ramp takes away the trip edge. Ramps are made in 25mm or 38mm heights to match your grating, in 996, 1220, 1985 and 3010mm lengths, with 3660mm to order, and they fix to the panel with C clips.

Supports and framework

For the structure under the grating, see our GRP pultruded profiles: GRP I beams, equal angle and steel I beam brackets. Still choosing panels? Browse all GRP grating or compare sizes in our GRP grating price guide.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between M clips and C clips?
M clips hold a grating panel down to the support underneath it. C clips join two panels together where they meet, so neighbouring panels cannot move independently. Most installations use both.
How many M clips do I need?
As a guide, one pack of eight M clips suits a grating panel of about 3m x 1m. Fix each panel to every support it crosses. For mini mesh, one pack of eight mini mesh clips suits a panel of about 4m x 1m.
Are the fixing clips stainless steel?
Yes, our M grating clips are made from 316 stainless steel, so they will not rust in wet or corrosive environments.
Do the M clips come with bolts?
For 25mm and 38mm grating the M clips come complete with fixings. The version for 50mm grating is supplied as the clip only.
How do I stop people tripping at the end of a grating walkway?
Fit a GRP grating ramp along the exposed edge. Our ramps are 120mm deep, made in 25mm or 38mm heights to match the grating, supplied in safety yellow and fixed to the panel with C clips.
Which clips fit mini mesh grating?
Use our M mini mesh fixing clips, which suit all mini mesh thicknesses. They are supplied as clips only.
