Description

The GRP I beam is a high-strength structural profile designed for use as an intermediate support within GRP flooring, trench and access systems. Measuring 120mm x 70mm with an 8mm wall thickness, this beam provides excellent load-bearing performance while remaining significantly lighter than steel alternatives.

GRP I beams are commonly used in trenches, service risers and structural support frameworks, particularly in environments where corrosion resistance and low maintenance are essential.

All stock GRP structural profiles are manufactured from isophthalic polyester resin reinforced with E-glass fibre rovings, delivering exceptional strength and durability. A final surface veil is incorporated during manufacture to provide enhanced UV protection along with excellent corrosion and chemical resistance, making the beam suitable for both internal and external applications.
